PROGRAM LEVEL
The Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Network Engineering focuses on the theory and practice of designing, deploying and managing both wired and wireless networks technologies. The program provides foundational theory and hands-on experience that allow students to gain familiarity with network devices and servers, security, and multimedia network services. In the current market scenario, there is almost no organization where computing and networking is not used. Job market surveys for this field show a high demand for graduates with knowledge in computer networks and a growth in demand is predicted for the near future. Some common jobs for Network Engineering majors include (but are not limited to): Network Engineer, Senior Network Engineer, Network Architect, Network Operations Manager, Associate Security Engineer, Security Engineer, IT Security Manager, Associate Security Administrator, and Security Administrator.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Graduates of the B.Sc. program in Network Engineering are expected to have the ability to:
1. Pursue a successful network engineering career in industry, government, academia or entrepreneurship.
2. Engage in life-long learning, graduate-level studies, research or professional development.
3. Add valued contributions to society through responsible and ethical practice within the IT profession.
PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES
After completing the courses’ requirements, the students must be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and competencies:
(1) an ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
(2) an ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors
(3) an ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
(4) an ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts
(5) an ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives
(6) an ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions
(7) an ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
