FACULTY BIO

Ph.D., Computer Science, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, USA. Ali Alsaffar received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from King Saud University, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in 1991, M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA, in 1997 and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA in 2001. His main research interest is Data Mining, Information Retrieval & Filtering, Database Management Systems, and Machine Learning. He was the Director for Continuing Education for the IT College at the University of Bahrain from 2006 to 2011, where he has conducted numerous IT professional workshops and short courses to UOB staff, and to public and private sectors.
