Biography

An experienced professional with over 25 years of experience, Dr. Zolait taken on the role of Senior Research Fellow and Assistant Professor in Information Systems at University of Malaya and University of Bahrain 2007-2021. His vast experience in the IT industry includes academics, research, cybersecurity, systems analysis and development, professional training, and consultation. He holds the Fellowship of British Higher Education Academy, SMIEEE certifications. His research interests include cybersecurity landscape and threats, Information Systems, privacy preserving, data science, web & mobile applications, and Information systems Modelling. He is an active researcher and has published more than 70 scientific research papers in international peer reviewed journals and conferences. He Supervised many final year projects, master and PhD degree students.

He has received several awards, including best scientific paper, presentation and distinguished research. Zolait act as leader to several international Conferences and He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Technology Diffusion (IJTD). Zolait was elected to serve in many volunteering roles that serve community of IEEE professionals in Bahrain and the region.

Dr. Zolait completed his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Science from King Abdulaziz University (KSA) in 1995, and his Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Malaysia in 2003. In 2008, Dr. Zolait received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Malaya (UM) - Malaysia. He was later awarded the University of Malaya best researcher Award for his research in Information Systems. Deanship of Scientific Research Award, Awarded “Silver"", Blackboard L.M.S. from University of Bahrain. Several IEEE Recognition Award and He has been awarded the 2020 Blackboard Catalyst Award for Leading Change.
