Biography
Dr. Ali Hussein Zolait, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Science from King Abdulaziz University (KSA) in 1995, and Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Malaysia in 2003. In 2008, Dr. Zolait received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Malaya (UM) - Malaysia. He is a Fellow of British Academic Higher Education (AHE) and Senior Membership of IEEE certifications. Dr. Ali is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the University of Bahrain, since 2022. Prior to this, he was an Assistant Professor of Information systems (2010-2021) and a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Faculty of Business and Accountancy at University Malaya (2007-2010). Recently, he was elected as the Chair of IEEE Bahrain Section 2025-2026. In addition, he served as a leader in several IEEE international conferences and events. Also, he acts as the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Technology Diffusion. His research interests are diverse, encompassing Cybersecurity, Information Systems, privacy preservation, Business & Data Analytics, Web and Mobile applications, and Technology acceptance. Dr. Zolait is an active researcher who has published more than 74 scientific research papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences. He Supervised many final year projects, master and PhD degree students. He is a distinguished academic with over 1,600 citations and an extensive body of research publications that has impacted the fields of information security, system design, and cybersecurity. Zolait’s research contributions have shaped practices across both the public and private sectors, with works such as "Integrating Information Quality Dimensions into Information Security Risk Management (ISRM)" being cited more than 100 times and recognized as a seminal resource in the field. This impact underscores his commitment to developing secure, resilient frameworks that enhance reliability across critical information systems that closely aligns with the objectives of my professional volunteering roles and goals, which are advancing technology for the safety of people. He received several awards, including recognition of the best scientific papers, presentations, and distinguished research. He was honored with the University Best Researcher Award for his research on Information Systems and the Deanship of Scientific Research Award, as well as the "Silver" and Blackboard L.M.S. from the University of Bahrain. Furthermore, He has been recognized with several IEEE Recognition Awards and the 2020 Blackboard Catalyst Award for Leading Change, and IEEE Volunteer Leadership Training Award (2023).
