Dr. Fatema Yusuf Alsebaie

PhD in Information Systems, University of Salford, Manchester, U.K. Fatema Alsebaie works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Systems, College of Information Technology, University of Bahrain.

Fatema obtained her BSc in Information Systems from University of Bahrain in 2005. She completed her MSc in Information Technology at Ahlia University in 2009. She obtained the Postgraduate Certificate for Academic Practice Program (PCAP) from the University of Bahrain and the fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, UK in 2023.

She served six years as Research Fellow in Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy studies (Derasat).

In addition, she worked as a System Analyst and Developer in the IT Department at Bahrain Center for Studies and Research from 2005 to 2009. Her research interests are in Information Systems, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, and women in IT careers.

Her research and articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals and by international conferences such as G20 insights Policy Briefs (G20 Riyadh-2020), and institutions like Middle East Institute in Washington, and UNDP Bahrain.
