Dr. Ghadeer Ismail is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Systems. Dr. Ghadeer Ismail received her BSc. Degree in Multimedia Technology from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland in 2001. She completed her M.Sc. Degree in Engineering Multimedia from the Nottingham Trent University, U.K. in 2003. She received her PhD in Automatic Speech Recognition and Transliteration at the Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham, U.K. in 2013. She completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from York St John University in 2011. Her teaching and research interests include Multimedia, speech recognition, Social media, HCI, and transliteration. Dr. Ghadeer has authored and published papers in international conferences and journals, where she also actively participates as a reviewer. Additionally, she has served on many university and college-level committees, such as a member of the Supreme Committee of Khalid bin Hamad initiatives at the University of Bahrain, the University's website development committee, and a member of the audit committee for faculty members' participation in regional and international conferences, seminars, and scientific events. She is also an outstanding diamond volunteer with Injaz, contributing more than 100 volunteering hours.
